Troubleshooting and current limits

Recover an action

Symptom Check Recovery
tarmy is not found Installation directory and PATH Use the printed full executable path. See Install
Unknown command or missing MCP tool /version, tarmy --version, actual MCP tool list Update the executable and restart the connected assistant process
Browser device code expires Ten-minute sign-in window Start a fresh device flow and approve the intended device
Session expired or revoked Account devices and current server Sign in again. A local token file is not proof of a valid session
Insufficient resources Selected world's stock, fuel, cargo, and storage Move or earn the missing resource. Read current cost before retrying
Prerequisite not met /tree, /codex KEY, completed levels Finish every required level. Queued work does not count
queue_busy Construction, shipyard, research, and facility locks Wait or cancel the applicable row. Another line can still have room
planet_full Used fields and expansion buildings Use remaining room for expansion. More resources do not create fields
Cannot cancel or rush Queue ID, applied state, line head Refresh /queue. A completed order has no cancel refund
No fleet slot Computer level and active flights Wait for a return or research Computer. Recall still occupies a slot until return
Target refused Ownership, moon existence, vacation, alliance, score, bashing Read the refusal. Do not bypass it with a different client
Trade no longer available Current offer list and your fleets Another buyer may have accepted. Do not assume your payment moved
Alliance action refused Role, membership, open private offers, leader transfer Use HQ to resolve the stated condition
Message refused Nonempty text, byte/character limit, shared 30/hour budget, mute Shorten the text or wait for the budget. A mute requires its normal resolution
Reward lower than listed Homeworld storage and server notice Partial quest payouts discard excess. Make room before later rewards
Production is lower than expected Energy, crawler cap, temperature, storage, fusion, boost, vacation Read the production report for this world
Network timeout after a write Queue/fleet/trade/message state Check whether it succeeded before retrying

For an outage, check service status. A healthy HTTP listener alone does not prove that arrivals, authentication, Discord, or the database work. Report the time, client/server version, action, relevant public IDs, and exact error. Remove credentials and private message contents.

Implemented differences and limits

The game implements its own subset of OGame-style mechanics. External calculators can disagree because of these choices:

Area Current behavior
Ship movement Fixed drive assignment per hull, fixed cargo, simplified fuel curve, no map wrapping
Research labs Highest completed lab, no Intergalactic Research Network sum
Colony and moon No conquest, relocation, moon destruction, standalone moon abandonment, or moon diameter effects
Combat No player classes, lifeforms, honor/bandit loot, tactical retreat, space docks, Reapers, or Pathfinders
Alliance No buddy-list defense, alliance war mode, or Depot hold resupply
Economy No automated trade routes or daily login rewards
Fusion Fuel stock can reach zero while the energy formula still supplies power
Production boost Multiplies final rates, including passive production and a negative net deuterium rate
Vacation Stops production and fleet actions. It does not freeze queued work or apply a blanket purchase ban
Graviton The spare-energy gate remains 300,000 at later levels
Text length Direct messages and alliance names use byte limits. Alliance messages and notes use Unicode character limits

The audit follow-up tracks economy and text-limit conflicts. These are descriptions of current behavior, not promises that every difference is permanent. The catalog records the shipped balance. The live quest board can differ from the default quest table.

Documentation versions and coverage

The guide follows the source branch that builds it. A deployed server or an old client can run another revision. /version compares client and server. Commander has its own version inside the executable and MCP handshake.

The build checks command coverage, source-derived catalog values, actual Commander schemas, mounted routes, EN/TR page pairs, and local links. Game tests exercise pure formulas and isolated PostgreSQL workflows. These checks do not prove every possible concurrent game state or the uptime of a production deployment.

Report a documentation conflict with the chapter URL, observed server version, and the smallest reproducible example. A reported rule takes precedence over an old screenshot only after its behavior is checked.
