Resource marketplace¶
Resource trades¶
A trade is a one-time exchange between two commanders in the same universe. The seller lists from an active planet, pays the offered resource into escrow, and reserves enough Large Cargo ships for the larger leg at 25,000 resources per ship. Only metal, crystal, and deuterium can be traded. The two resources must differ. The larger amount can be no more than three times the smaller. Each amount is capped at 2 billion. The seller sets a 1-720 hour maximum outbound travel time.
Public offers are visible to other commanders. An alliance-only offer is visible and available only while both seller and buyer belong to the named alliance. An open alliance offer prevents the seller from leaving or being removed and prevents the alliance from disbanding. Cancelling an open offer returns its resource and ships to the seller.
On acceptance, the buyer's active planet pays the requested resource into escrow. The seller pays flight fuel in deuterium and uses a fleet slot. The seller's reserved ships carry the offer to the buyer, then bring the payment back. They cannot be recalled. If the seller lacks fuel or a slot, or the buyer lacks payment or is too far away, the offer remains open. The buyer keeps the requested resource, and the seller pays no flight fuel. The buyer receives the offered resource on arrival. The seller receives payment and gets the ships back on return. Only then is the trade complete. Open, outbound, and returning trades prevent deletion of either account and abandonment of the involved planets.
Accepted trades appear in the seller's fleet list and the buyer's incoming feed with the neutral <$ marker. They raise no attack alarm. Both participants receive private server messages on acceptance and delivery. The buyer's incoming entry clears after delivery. The seller sees the returning fleet until payment and ships arrive.
Use the trade commands to list, search, accept, or cancel an offer. These are manual trades. Automatic trade routes are not part of this feature.
